-------------------------------------------PRE CLONE------------------------------------------------

1. login as applmgr and set the ERP environment using the env file, usually the format <sid_hostname>.xml
2. check the perl verison perl -v - should be > 5.005
3. check the perl location using command - which perl, it should be pointing to iAS home perl executable
4. cd to $COMMON_TOP/admin/scripts

perl adpreclone.pl appsTier

5. supply the apps password.

PRECLONE STEPS - DB TIER

1. login as oracle and set the 9i/10g environment using the env file, usually the format <sid_hostname>.xml
2. check the perl verison perl -v - should be > 5.005
3. check the perl location using command - which perl, it should be pointing to 9i/10g home perl executable
4. cd to $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/bin

perl adpreclone.pl dbTier

5. supply the apps password.



--------------------POST CLONE-----------

POST CLONE... MAKE SURE THERE IS clone directory created in the TARGET system.
Use the post clone scripts from that dir.
Post clone has to be done on DB tier first as for appsTier you will need the
database to be up.

POSTCLONE STEPS - DB TIER

1. login as oracle and set the 9i/10g environment using the env file, usually the format <sid_hostname>.xml
2. check the perl verison perl -v - should be > 5.005
3. check the perl location using command - which perl, it should be pointing to 9i/10g home perl executable

NEXT STEP CRITICAL

4. Make sure that the contrl files listed in the paramter CONTROL_FILES located inside init<sid>.ora file,
are removed.
5. MAKE SURE DB is DOWN all the way.
6. cd to $ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/clone/bin

perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier

5. supply the apps password.

POSTCLONE STEPS - APPSTIER

3. check the perl location using command - which perl, it should be pointing to iAS home perl executable
4. cd to $COMMON_TOP/clone/scripts
